Everything is bigger in Texas including appetites! Thankfully, Irving and Las Colinas had some of the best food we have ever had!
The Ranch: Let me just go ahead and say, if you have never eaten at The Ranch at Las Colinas, you are missing out on one incredible and memorable meal! We started our culinary journey with the meat and cheese board which included wild game sausages, local cheeses, seasonal house preserves, honeycomb, pickled veggies, and thinly sliced wagyu! Simply to die for! Our main dish included a 10 ounce charbroiled angus filet with roasted bone marrow butter and a 13 ounce boneless angus ribeye with smoked Chile butter! This restaurant makes sure they have the best of what Travel Texas has to offer in terms of food, drink, and entertainment!
Kitchen 101: Our first breakfast in Visit Irving, Texas was Kitchen 101 at Toyota Music Factory. They a have always fresh never frozen standard and you can take the difference! They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as have an extensive coffee and drink menu! The next time you’re in Irving, this HAS to be on your schedule for at least one meal!
Hudson House in Irving was one of the most delicious dining experiences we have ever had! We started our culinary adventure with oysters and caviar. Until the moment we tried these, I had no idea that oysters could taste so different based on where they were harvested. A delicious shrimp cocktail rounded out our appetizers! For our main dish, we enjoyed pan-seared redfish with broccoli, steak frites, and their delicious cheeseburger. After all these delectable bites, we surely had to see what dessert would bring and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Their key lime pie and chocolate silk pie will have you begging for more! This is a must stop when you are in Irving and Las Colinas!
Two Mules: f you’ve never eaten at a true Tex-Mex Catina, you have to get to Two Mules Cantina at Texican Court, by Valencia Hotel Group in Las Colinas! Everything we ordered was superb and the hospitality was superb from the first night we had dinner to the last day we had breakfast. In addition to the great food, they often have live music in front of the restaurant where various seats are arranging and a fire pit for cool nights. They also have a great event called Yappy Hour where you can not only have drinks with doggy themes but those drinks help raise money for their local dog shelter. Just an all around great group of folks! You don’t want to miss this place!
Pax and Beneficia: Located in the Water Street District of Las Colinas, Pax & Beneficia Coffee lives by the principles of craftsmanship, camaraderie, contribution, and culture and they stand by these in every aspect of it! Pictured here from our incredible breakfast was the Zaatar and Feta Toast with imported fresh zaatar and olive oil spread with feta on multi-grain toast, the fruit and sweetened ricotta toast with house made sweetened ricotta recipe with blueberries, raspberries, & lemon zest on multi-grain toast, fruit and granola bowl, and of course their delicious coffee, which comes to you as a piece of art!
Pacific Table: Located in the heart of Las Colinas, Pacific Table offers visitors an eclectic mix of classic, Pacific Northwest cuisine that includes beautiful oysters, delicious sushi, and some of the best sandwiches and entrees you will find at any restaurant in the Irving area. There are not many places where you can go and enjoy grilled arctic char and a pecan veggie burger all under the same roof. This is a must-stop on our next trip to Las Colinas!
Lake House Waterfront Lounge at the Omni: Many people do not think about dining at the Lake House at the Omni Hotel and Resort in Las Colinas unless they are staying there but let me just tell you, this is a treat that you need to experience! The outdoor bar area features ample seating, multiple televisions, and a menu that will blow you away! We enjoyed the salsa and guacamole and fresh fruit bowl, but visitors here can get salads, savory selections like fried chicken and hamburgers, or sweet treats such as churros or ice cream. All of this can be served poolside in your private cabana overlooking the pool and Lake Caroline.
Reservoir: Located at the Toyota Music Factory, Reservoir offers a modern look on a traditional gastropub! With famous staples like chicken and waffles, a brisket skillet, and pulled pork street tacos, there is no better place to listen to music out in the Texas Lottery Live Plaza or wash down a few drinks than Reservoir.
